Renewable Energy

M & N heating & plumbing can provide a wide range of renewable energy products which will not only help to reduce your fuel costs but will also reduce carbon emissions and reduce global warming.

This can be achieved in several ways.

SOLAR WATER HEATING. Installation of a solar water heating system is designed to produce up to 70% of your hot water throughout the year. During the summer months it is estimated that up to 95% of all hot water used is free. This means that your gas boiler would not be used during the warmer periods. During winter months you can also look at saving up to 25% energy by the solar system preheating the incoming cold water, this would mean that your gas boiler would not be using as much energy hence saving more money.
AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS. This system of heating your hot water takes the air from outside and converts it into heat which then in turn is used for your heating & hot water systems. Ideally underfloor heating or appropriately sized radiators are required. These can work at temperatures as low as -15C.
GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMPS. This works by drawing on the natural, renewable energy in the ground which then delivers all the heating and hot water that you would require for your home. This causes no direct emissions or any other damage to the environment. In most cases it means that all other heating sources within the property can be removed.
